The condition is commonly treated with stimulant therapy (methylphenidates or amphetamines in various forms). Hypochlorhydria occurs when the parietal cells in the gastric mucosa do not produce sufficient amounts of hydrochloric acid (HCl). There are numerous underlying causes of parietal dysfunction of psychological, physiological, and infective origin.

From the first few warm weather days of spring until the crisp autumn air sends me inside to warm up with my botanical references, you can find me in the garden. Whether it be with the vegetables, herbs, or various perennials that I have collected over the years, gardening fills me with a joy that I’m sure others can relate to.

More recently, the Dalai Lama has described happiness as “the highest form of health”, and Leigh Hunt has stated, “The ground work for all happiness is health”.
